Rethink Robotics debuts Intera Insights with 5.2 software

Nov. 13, 2017 – Rethink Robotics has announced the Intera 5.2, an expansion of its Intera software platform that provides data insights to manufacturers in real time.

The Intera 5.2 software, available through the Sawyer robot, will give manufacturers access to key performance indicators on a customizable dashboard, making the data that matters most directly accessible on the factory floor. The same charts are also fed back to the Intera Studio platform, providing visibility to other members of the manufacturing team. According to the company, Intera Insights drives more informed production decisions and saves manufacturers time and money by eliminating the need to invest in or create another data collection system. The Intera 5.2 release also includes additions to Sawyer’s vision capabilities. Along with embedded cameras that are standard with every Sawyer robot, manufacturers now have the option to integrate an external camera “in minutes,” helping manufacturers to optimize cycle time with improved vision. Intera 5.2 will be available for download on all existing Sawyer robots and will come standard on all new robots.
