Jan. 25, 2016 – TT Electronics, a provider of engineered electronics for performance critical applications, has introduced the MagnePot 8150 series of high-performance multi-turn non-contacting rotary position sensors.

The series is designed to operate reliably over a minimum of 10 million shaft rotations with no signal output degradation, says the company, adding that it is ideally suited to serve the industrial, medical, aviation and aerospace industries. Units are available in a choice of three, five or 10 turns, each powered via a 5Vdc supply voltage. The ratiometric output range is from 4 per cent to 96 per cent of supply with a 12mA maximum current rating. MagnePot 8150 Series models also feature ±0.50 per cent independent linearity as standard, with optional improvement to ±0.25 per cent. Standard operating temperature range is -40 C to 125 C. Typical applications for the MagnePot 8150 series include industrial joystick controls; factory and laboratory automation; advanced manufacturing; robotic positioning; motion control feedback; medical diagnostic equipment positioning; aircraft flight and panel controls; and vision system positioning feedback.
