The newly-developed Surftest SJ-410 series, a line of SJ-series portable surface roughness testers for managing surface roughness on-site features greater precision and performance with the ability to effortlessly switch between skidded and skidless measurement. The SJ-410 series has all the basic features of a portable surface roughness tester, but is designed for better performance. It comes with the same carrying case as the SJ-401 series, and includes a large color LCD touch panel for high visibility, as well as the option to choose from one of 16 display languages. It offers two options for X-axis measuring ranges, 25mm and 50mm, and an array of detector ranges of 800, 80 and 8?m, at resolutions of 0.01, 0.001, and 0.0001?m respectively. Two drive units are available: the SJ-411 with a straightness accuracy of 0.3?m and drive length of 25mm, and the SJ-412 has a straightness accuracy of 0.5?m and a drive length of 50mm.  Accessories include a simple and convenient stand for using the device as stationary measuring unit.
