TE Connectivity introduces industrial mini I/O cable assemblies

Apr. 24, 2017 – TE Connectivity has introduced a new family of industrial mini I/O cable assemblies, boasting reduced dimensions and an “innovative method” for wire termination, it says.

According to the company, the connectors are a reliable and space-saving solution that can be implemented very quickly, and at a quarter of the size of conventional RJ45 plugs, they “make the best use of limited space on PCBs.” TE says a “highly reliable” connection is ensured by two points of contact, enabling the mini I/O connectors to meet stringent demands of industrial and high vibration environments. The I/O assemblies are intended for various industrial applications such as robotics, automation and control, communications, motion & drives, and PLCs.
