The digital factory will be pivotal in enabling new business opportunities, smart services, mass customization as well driving initiatives towards energy efficiency. The digital factory can be broken into four categories data transportation, acquisition, usage and security. This session will focus on the basic framework of the digital factory. The discussion will centre on the simple steps to enable digitalization in any factory.

Tyler Burke, Phoenix Contact Canada’s Product Manager for Automation has served the Canadian market for the past 10 years. Starting his career in technical support then moving into field applications before assuming his current role. His expertise in automation, functional safety and networking has taken him on assignment throughout Canada as well as Germany and the United States. Tyler sits on the Electro federation of Canada’s Cyber Security taskforce reviewing CSA’s standards in additions being TUV certified as a Functional Safety Technician. These experiences give Tyler a unique perspective on many applications and decision-making framework across a variety of industries. He is a technology enthusiast with a passion for problem solving
