Vecna Robotics has released an autonomous counterbalanced fork truck.

The intelligent pallet-handling solution is the first in the company’s Silverback series of counterbalanced fork trucks.

This mobile robot offers vertical lift up to 72 inches and is suited to work alongside humans in distribution, warehousing and manufacturing organizations. It includes dynamic obstacle avoidance to navigate warehouses safely and is compliant with industry regulations such as the ANSI B56.5-2019.

The autonomous fork truck supports pallets of varying sizes and weights, including empty, partial, full, irregular, and double-stacked, with and without bottom boards.

It also can move pallets floor-to-floor in a facility, or hand off pallets to and from materials handling equipment like conveyors, carts and wrappers.

The fork truck, which will be delivered in the first quarter of 2021, is powered by software that analyzes operations and adjusts processes for optimum performance in real-time.
