About the speaker

Robert Vomiero is a technical specialist, machine and robot safety for Ontario’s Workplace Safety & Prevention Services. A professional mechanical engineer, Vomiero holds designations as a Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) from the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, and the Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE) from TÜV Nord.

He is experienced in equipment automation and robot cell design, capital equipment installation, pre-start health and safety reviews, and machine, robot safety and control of hazardous energy training and consulting. Vomiero is also a member of the CSA Z434 Industrial Robot Standard Committee, and a subject matter expert on the Canadian Mirror Committee of ISO/TC 299/WG3-(ISO 10218-International Robot Standard Committee).
