June 2, 2025, Brossard, Que. — Schneider Electric Canada is expanding its facility in Brossard, Que., with the expansion including the addition of a new production line dedicated to the local manufacturing of the company’s advanced power equipment and electrical distribution devices.
“At Schneider Electric, one of our core principles is that while we operate on a global scale, we make decisions locally with our customers’ best interests in mind,” said Emily Heitman, president of Schneider Electric Canada, in a press statement. “This investment strengthens our ability to better serve Quebec and the Canadian market.”
The expansion will create new jobs in Quebec and improve lead times for Canadian customers. It also enhances Schneider Electric’s ability to support the country’s energy transition and infrastructure resilience by ensuring that critical components are manufactured closer to where they are needed most.
The milestone will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 4, featuring Heitman, Doreen Assaad, mayor of Brossard, and Fredrick Morency, vice president of sustainability at Schneider Electric Canada.
