Eaton OEM Line Isolation switch boasts enhanced safety for maintenance personnel

Jun. 2, 2016 – Power management company Eaton has launched its OEM Line Isolation (OLI) switch, a device allowing electrical equipment operators and maintenance personnel access to control panels without exposure to line side voltage, it says.

Eaton says its OLI switch isolates line side power and provides an external disconnecting means for industrial control panels, “reducing the risk of arc flash hazards.” The switch can be mounted on a control cabinet or disconnect enclosure, which can provide operators safer or alternate access to the panel. The company is also offering the switch as a complete package, including enclosure, disconnect, handle, flex-cable operator and all other necessary components.
