
Datalogic to acquire Accu-Sort Systems

Datalogic, which offers solutions for automatic data capture and industrial automation applications in the manufacturing, transportation, logistics and retail industries, has entered into an agreement with certain subsidiaries of Danaher Corporation to acquire Accu-Sort Systems Inc., a supplier of automatic identification products in the United States. The agreed purchase price is $135 million US.
Founded in 1971 and based in Telford, Pa., Accu-Sort employs approximately 250 employees, and has one production factory in the U.S., two research centres – one in the U.S. and one in Europe – and eight sales offices.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2012.
