New aerospace centre to study recycling aircraft parts opens in Quebec

A new aerospace research and training centre dedicated to finding ways to recycle materials from old aircraft is now in operation in St. Hubert, Que.

Labs at the Centre technologie en aerospatiale will be responsible for the recycling efforts.

The federal and Quebec governments gave $12 million to fund the centre’s new research and development program.

Canada’s aerospace industry generates annual revenues of $22 billion and employs nearly 80,000 Canadians.
