Renishaw acquires leader in metrology fixtures

Renishaw, a provider of measurement, motion control, spectroscopy and precision machining products, has purchased R&R Sales LLC, a provider of fixtures for the global measurement and inspection market.

The acquisition supports Renishaw’s increasing focus on metrology system sales, such as those involving the company’s new Equator gauge, which requires fixturing devices.

Family-owned R&R has 19 employees and is based in Grand Haven, Mich. For more than 20 years, the company has supplied the global measurement market with both modular and custom fixtures for CMM and vision systems.
