Keyence recently introduced the newest addition to its machine vision product lineup, the CV-X100 Series. Designed to be easy to use yet powerful, the intuitive interface allows users of all levels to quickly and easily set up robust inspections for their application needs. New tools include Auto-Teach Inspection, point and click measurement tools, and more. With the use of these new tools, inspections are quicker and easier to create than ever before. The Auto-Teach Inspection is a smart tool that is able to automatically create an inspection based off of a set of good parts. Users first teach the CV-X100 what is a “good” part by analyzing and recording the image data. Stable inspection is accomplished as the tool will then automatically recognize variations that exist in the “good” parts. Any parts that are different from the learned “good” image data will be detected as defective. High-precision measurements can be done quickly and easily through simple mouse operations, with no calculations required. Users simply choose the dimension they are looking for, and then draw a line on the top and left edges of the object. The intersection is automatically calculated. Even the most complex objects can be measured quickly. If units other than pixels are required, scaling can be easily applied.
