Premier Kathleen Wynne has told her party she hopes the federal budget will give help to Ontario’s struggling manufacturing sector.
Wynne told a major party fundraiser last night in Toronto that while she doesn’t know what’s in Thursday’s federal budget. On Tuesday, federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty indicated the budget would provide some boost to manufacturing.
Wynne also told the audience that the looming threat isn’t a spring election, but a toxic political environment.
She also wants Ontario’s governing Liberals to keep smiling even though they may be facing a sea of troubles.
