Heidenhain names new product specialist for automation division

Aug. 26, 2014 – Jonathan Dougherty has joined Heidenhain Corporation as the North American product specialist, Automation Division.

Based in Schaumburg, Ill., Dougherty is responsible for automation product support, including the company’s rotary encoders, slip rings and resolvers. Dougherty specializes in finding solutions for applications such as in robotics, servo drives, oil and gas equipment, elevators and 3D printing equipment, to name a few. He is also responsible for assisting in the market research and marketing of his product area, and also occasionally travels to customer destinations as support.
