Jun. 28, 2017 – The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is building an advanced manufacturing research and development and demonstration facility in Winnipeg, Man.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) will now begin environmental and geotechnical studies as part of the due diligence process to confirm the site. The process is scheduled to be completed by late September, says PSPC.

“We are looking forward to confirming the site for our new advanced manufacturing research and development facility in Winnipeg,” said François Cordeau, vice-president engineering for the NRC. “It’s an exciting time for the NRC. By providing easier access to advanced technologies, the NRC aims to support manufacturers to innovate at a faster pace in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
