Sept. 8, 2017 – Coldwater Machine Company, an engineered solutions and precision machining company that manufactures and integrates assembly automation and special machines, has announced a 27,500-square-foot expansion to its current manufacturing space.

Bringing the facility’s total square footage to 132,500, the addition will double the company’s available assembly areas for turnkey systems as well as provide additional floor space to expand the machine shop for precision machining.

Coldwater Machine’s climate-controlled facility features more than 45 machine tools and overhead crane systems up to 25 tonnes. There is also an on-site Solid State Joining Center dedicated to the development of technologies that address the joining of lightweight and dissimilar materials. Additionally, Coldwater has inspection and test equipment to support internal machining needs as well as its customer’s build-to-print activity for precision parts.

Coldwater Machine Company moved into its current facility in 1999, which was a greenfield site comprised of 78,500 square foot located on 19 acres. In 2013, another 27,000 square foot was added to support growing customer demand for turnkey automated systems. The current expansion is anticipated to be completed by the end of November.
