CBS ArcSafe offers RSA-242 for ABB/Sace Novomax

Apr. 2, 2018 – CBS ArcSafe, a manufacturer of remote racking and switching solutions for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, has released its remote switch actuator (RSA) for the ABB/Sace Novomax air circuit breaker (ACB).

The portable CBS ArcSafe RSA-242 allows technicians to remotely close or trip an ABB/Sace Novomax ACB from a distance of up to 300 feet, well outside the arc-flash boundary, says CBS ArcSafe. Installation and operation do not require any modifications to existing electrical equipment, the company says, thanks to the magnetic latching system. Typical applications include general protection of lowvoltage primary and secondary distribution, generators, motors, transformers, and capacitors. Optional features include a radio remote with a range up to 300 feet, a 24VDC LED light, a wireless video camera system with an LCD monitor, and a protective case assembly.
