January 7, 2019 – Heidenhain has established its first authorized training partner in North America focusing on its CNC controls, at the Community College of Denver’s (CCD) Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC).

Heidenhain has had a relationship with AMC since 2015, hosting workshops for five-axis machining. In order to become a training partner, CCD staff completed several rounds of advanced training on the Heidenhain five-axis TNC machine controls and successfully passed an extensive exam.

There are multiple Heidenhain TNC controls in operation at the AMC, and student classes are currently being offered there from basic to advanced control programming and training.

“We are thrilled to be able to contribute to domestic manufacturing,” says Matthew Sweeney, director of AMC. “Even the most experienced machinist can benefit from these advanced capabilities.”

This expanded Heidenhain authorized training partner program is part of a larger North American TNC support initiative, which includes increased control training at Heidenhain offices in Schaumburg, Illinois, an establishment of a controls application group with dedicated contact information as well as a hotline for on-the-go technical support.
