June 11, 2019 – JMP Solutions has acquired Calgary-based Hi-Def Controls, in a move the company says will strengthen its presence in Western Canada across the oil and gas, water and wastewater, and power systems industry segments.
JMP Solutions is an industrial technology partner to Fortune 1000 manufacturers and producers, providing engineering services and solutions in process automation, control system integration, information and MES, automation and robotics, automated guided vehicles, material handling, and networking and security applications.
“We are very happy that the Hi-Def team has decided to join us at JMP,” says Scott Shawyer, JMP president and CEO. “Their capabilities are world class and allow us to ensure our customers have effective strategies in place for managing and optimizing their systems, information and technologies. Their customers will now be able to draw on the full-service offering of JMP. Their design and quality control expertise will complement our existing Calgary branch competencies.”
Hi-Def Controls mainly specialized in automation solutions for the process industries.
“I could not be more thrilled to have our team become part of JMP Solutions,” says Darren Hemsing, former president and CEO of Hi-Def Controls, and now JMP Calgary’s automation team lead. “I’m excited by the opportunity to be able to continue to support our clients in the manner that they have come to expect from Hi-Def Controls but now with the expanded capabilities afforded to us through the competencies that JMP Solutions brings to the table.”
With 15 business units in the U.S. and Canada, JMP services customers locally and has delivered more than 20,000 solutions to 1,000-plus clients over the course of its 30-year history.
