Feb. 8, 2016 – GameTime — a manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, outdoor fitness products and custom play spaces — is celebrating five million hours without a lost-time injury at its manufacturing facility in Fort Payne, Ala. This represents seven years without a work-related injury of the facility’s 400 employees, says the company, adding that this “demonstrates the company’s commitment to an industry-leading employee safety program.”

GameTime representatives say the safety milestone is “particularly impressive” in light of data from the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics which reports four million lost-time injuries occur each year in manufacturing facilities.

“The health and safety of our employees is our top priority,” said Spencer Cheak, senior vice president and general manager of GameTime. “Safety is something that all of our teams are passionate about, our employees work together to ensure adherence to safety policies. We’re happy to achieve five million hours without a lost-time injury, and pleased with the commitment all of our employees have made to create a safe work environment.”
