Omron Canada announces new hires

Nov. 6, 2017 – Omron Canada has announced a number of new appointments to its team.

Sahil Datta has been appointed territory account manager, B.C., where he will report to Josh Yates, regional sales manager, Western Canada. He is a graduate of Automated Systems Engineering Technology/ Mechatronics from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Datta started his career at Guillevin Automation, a Schneider Electric distributor and then worked at Rockwell Automation.

Adam Detillieux has been appointed to the position of territory account manager, Manitoba/Saskatchewan. Reporting to Josh Yates, Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada, Detillieux will be responsible for managing his territory to grow Omron sales. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, and volunteers with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) running technical and professional development events in Saskatoon.

Residing in Dartmouth, N.S., Shane Gushue joins the company as territory account manager, Atlantic Provinces. Gushue attended the Gerald Schwartz School of Business – St. Francis Xavier University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in marketing. He joins Omron with a sales background and was a technical sales representative at Rotalec.

Rick Frise now holds the position of channel development manager, Central, where he will be responsible for both the strategic and tactical actions of Omron Channel partners. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from Queen’s University.

Zeinab El Rabab has been named to the position of Customer Care Coordinator. Reporting directly to Teresa Dias, Customer care Supervisor, she will be responsible for all customer care matters including answering incoming phone calls, e-mails and faxes, and customer follow-up.
