Moxa recently announced the new ISD-1000 Series of data line surge protectors engineered to guard data and hardware from harmful transient energies resulting from the “switching” of nearby equipment. All four ISD-1000 models feature line-to-line and line-to-ground protection, and are rated for -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees Fahrenheit to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. The ISD-1110-T (RS-232) and ISD-1130-T (RS-422/485) are in-line surge protectors, designed for general-purpose use. Both models provide 4 kV of surge protection, and are certified to IEC 61000-4-5 Level 4 standard. The ISD-1210-T (RS-232) and ISD-1230-T are DIN-rail or panel mount models, designed for industrial use. Both models provide 20 kV of surge protection, and are certified to the demanding IEC 61643-21 C2 standard.
