Sept. 9, 2016 – AutomationDirect’s ProSense line of digital panel meters promise to offer a “simple and cost-effective” solution to display analog process, temperature, load cell, and potentiometer inputs.

With all models, configuration parameters can be totally or selectively locked out to prevent unauthorized or accidental changes to the meter’s operation, says AutomationDirect, adding that two-point direct or reverse acting linear scaling values can be entered manually or by introducing actual sensed process values in Teach mode. The models feature IP65-rated meter faces and are available with 1/32 and 1/8 DIN housings in an effort to take up minimal panel space. The DPM1 series is designed to display analog process signals, including +/-10V and +/-20mA. The four-digit red LED display is scaled into any engineering units from -1999 to 9999 with a selectable decimal point location. Non-linear processes can be scaled by entering up to 16 scaling points. The DPM2 series displays analog process signals, temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius from RTD or thermocouple temperature sensors, or potentiometer inputs. Temperature inputs are pre-configured for fixed temperature ranges based on the type of temperature sensor and can be displayed with 1 or 0.1 degree of resolution. The DPM3 series offers a five-digit tri-colour red/green/amber LED display that can be scaled into any engineering units from -19999 to 39999 with a selectable decimal point location. Non-linear processes can be scaled by entering up to 11 scaling points.
