Dr. Glenn Feltham has been selected as the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s (NAIT) sixth president and CEO. He was appointed at the Board of Governors meeting held on December 6, 2010, following an extensive six-month international search.

Dr. Feltham will officially commence in his new role on March 1, 2011. During the interim, David Janzen will continue to serve as the acting president and CEO.

Dr. Feltham, who was raised in Alberta, joins NAIT after six years as Dean of the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba, where he was also CA Manitoba Chair in Business Leadership. Prior to that, he was Professor in the College of Commerce at the University of Saskatchewan, where he was the Department Head of Accounting and held the Chuck and Norma Childer’s Chair for Saskatchewan Enterprise. He has a long teaching history in accounting and finance, and has held several senior administrative positions over his career.

"NAIT is a leading technical institute that plays a central role in building prosperity in Alberta," said Dr. Feltham. "NAIT and Alberta share an entrepreneurial spirit. I believe that through embracing this spirit and focusing on the needs of Alberta, NAIT will be recognized as one of the world’s premier technical institutes."
