Position indicator light

The new QuickPick Position Indicator (QPi) moving light strip from Remstar is designed to offer users improved order picking speed, accuracy, storage density and reduced operator training in many automated storage and retrieval applications. The QPi indicates order picking information for horizontal carousels directly in front of the exact storage tote or container, rather than at the side. The QPi moves vertically and positions itself so flashing arrows can direct the picker to the exact location. It indicates the required transaction quantity, resulting in increased productivity and accurate order picking. The new light system moves to the correct shelf height with positioning accuracy of 1/10 inch in the vertical axis. The QPi light indicates up to 26 positions along the face of the shelf, allowing the use of narrower totes for improved product storage density while improving picking accuracy.
