
Montreal-based Dorel laying off 700 employees

Nov. 5, 2015 – The Canadian Press is reporting that Dorel, a Montreal, Que.-based maker of bicycles and strollers, will be laying off 700 employees, mostly from manufacturing plants in China.
According to the company, the layoffs represent about six per cent of its workforce.
Dorel employs about 11,500 people in 25 countries.
