Jan. 25, 2016 – From hex keys to crimp tools, panel punches and torque sets, Harting says it is now offering its largest portfolio of assembly tools that align with its connector products for both large form factor industrial and board level connectivity.

The tooling lineup has expanded to include a slimline screwdriver set and tightening torque tools for guiding pins. The tightening torque tool promises the simplest operation and reproducible quality with a fixed torque (0.5 Nm), which “makes it almost impossible to over or under tighten,” it says. The slimline screwdriver is best suited for assembly with the integration of the insulation at blade diameter. Harting battery or manually operated panel cut out punch tools help create the corresponding panel cut out on the spot without the need for laborious sawing, it says. The punch tool is available in different sizes (e.g. for Han B or Han-Compact).
