Mornsun introduces PVxx-29Bxx DC-DC converter

Jul. 11, 2016 – Mornsun says it has introduced a new DC/DC converter, the PVxx-29Bxx series, to address the needs of 1500VDC photovoltaic (PV) systems.

The series of DC/DC converters accepts an input range of 200 – 1500VDC, and provides standard output voltages of 24V, 12V and 5V to power monitoring and control circuits in the system. According to the company, the PVxx-29Bxx simplifies wiring design, thereby reducing the cost of system manufacturing and maintenance when compared with AC power or battery power. The converter also boasts several protection functions that promise to improve system safety when a breakdown occurs, such as input under-voltage protection, reverse input protection output, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection and output over-voltage protection. Other features include: an operating temperature range of -40 C to 70 C; 4000VAC I/O isolation voltage; EN62109 approval; and PCB mounting, DIN-Rail mounting available.
