Danfoss Vacon 20 AC drive for packaging machine builders

Apr. 23, 2016 – Danfoss says its Vacon 20 AC drive’s “compact size,” power range, and built-in PLC functionality makes the unit “one of the most adaptable, cost efficient AC drives for packaging machine applications.”

Available in 110V – 600V and a power range up to 18.5kW/25HP, the Vacon 20 promises to “offer something for OEMs all over the world.” According to the company, the Vacon 20 is ideal to cut cycle times and provide maximized control. The built-in RS-485 interface boasts a simple serial control interface for the drive. With optional modules, the drive can be connected to various communication systems including CANOpen, Fieldbus, DeviceNet and Profibus DP.
