Aug. 17, 2016 – Nanotec says it is now offering planetary gears in plastic, describing its new GPLK gears as well-suited for applications where the motor must be mobile.

According to the company, the gear is “considerably lighter and much quieter than comparable gears made of metal.” With a size of 42 mm and in combination with the BLDC motor DF45, they make a “very compact” drive that weighs 300 g and has a nominal torque of 5 Nm. Meanwhile, the new GPLEP planetary precision gears are equipped with reinforced output bearings and can withstand high radial and axial loads, says Nanotec, adding that they are suitable for motor sizes of between 42 and 86 mm.
