Mar. 16, 2017 – AutoGuide, a Heartland Automation Solutions Company, will showcase its new version of AVINU, a traffic management software that works to optimize the movement of automated equipment at Automate 2017.

Boasting open architecture for universal integration,  Java-based AVINU 3.0 promises to provide in-depth reports about cycle times, battery levels, errors and more. The system can be “easily” integrated with various warehouse management and control systems, even home-grown systems, says AutoGuide.

The company will also launch a new wireless push button which works with AVINU 3.0 to call and release Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) with a button push.  The device can be mounted to a wall or forklift for plug-in power or operate as a battery-operated handheld tool, explains AutoGuide, adding that the button takes the place of a PLC for simple job scheduling. As well, AutoGuide will reveal plans for MAX U-2, a new, high-capacity tugger AGV capable of towing 15,000 pounds.
