Advantech introduces two-piece modular touch panel computers

Jun. 27, 2017 – Advantech’s IIoT Automation Group has launched the 15-in. TPC-5152T, 17-in. TPC-5172T and the 21.5-in. TPC-5212W two-piece modular touch panel computers.

The company says it has created a series of touch panel modular PC solutions to help meet the requirements of Industry 4.0. All three models come with an Intel Core 6th generation i-3 processor with 8 GB of DDR4 SODIMM, industrial-grade LED LCD with a lifespan of 50,000 hours, five-wire resistive touch, Advantech iDoor capability, SSD expansion, IP66-compliant front panel protection, and built-in TPM 2.0. The modular design of the touch panel PCs offer “numerous performance and cost-saving advantages,” says the company, noting easy integration and deployment, high serviceability, and future expandability for long lifecycles as some examples.
