Hammond offers extended depth floor-standing enclosures

Jul. 18, 2017 – Hammond Manufacturing has introduced extended depth versions of its large HN4FM floor-standing double door family to address the need for more internal space.

Four sizes (60 x 48, 60 x 60, 72 x 60, 72 x 72 inch) are now available in 18.69-inch depths for each of the painted steel, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel models. The painted HN4 FM family is sealed to UL 508 Type 4, CSA Type 4 and IEC 60529 IP66 and the HN4 FM SS stainless steel versions to UL 508 Type 4X, CSA Type 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, providing sealing where the enclosure may be hosed down, installed in wet or dusty conditions or be installed outdoors. The company describes the units as “strong and rigid,” noting that they are suitable for housing a variety of heavy electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments. All are fitted with lifting eyes, the doors are attached with heavy gauge continuous hinges, have a seamless poured-in place gasket. They also feature three-point locking system with a padlockable handle for added security. A formed lip on the door and top of enclosure opening excludes flowing liquids and other contaminants. A grounding stud is provided in the enclosure and a bonding stud is provided on the door; ground wire kits are available as an optional accessory.
