AutomationDirect adds BRX analogue I/O expansion modules

Sep. 25, 2017 – The BRX PLC system from AutomationDirect boasts powerful features in a compact, stand-alone footprint.

One feature of the BRX platform is its ability to expand its capability to fit the application, says AutomationDirect, noting that the new analogue I/O expansion modules are available in high-resolution current/voltage and temperature models. Two 8-channel analogue current and voltage input modules and two 8-channel current and voltage output modules are available. Current signal ranges are 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA; voltage ranges are 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, +/- 5 VDC, +/- 10 VDC. Input and output signal resolution is 16-bits (external 24 VDC required). The new 4-channel temperature module supports type J, E, K, R, S, T, B, N, C thermocouples. The module can also be configured for 4-channel millivolt level analogue inputs.
