May 7, 2019 – Rittal is highlighting its Blue e, wall-mounted, UL listed, Type 3R/4 air conditioning units for indoor or outdoor enclosures ahead of the summer.

These air conditioners are useful for where water is an issue, such as wastewater facilities and food and beverage facilities, and provide protection from the harmful effects on equipment due to the presence of water and external formation of ice.

Rittal has used nanotechnology to help resist filiform corrosion on condenser coils, which the company says offers greater energy efficiency. Rittal’s coated condenser coils do not affect the cooling capacity of the unit, and in most cases a filter is not required.

The closed-loop system maintains a Type 3R/4 rating and creates an environment in the enclosure that is cooler inside than the surrounding temperature. With an internal temperature set point of 95 °F, Rittal air conditioners are designed to operate at temperatures up to 122 °F.

The air conditioners, along with the new Blue e+ stainless steel units, are part of the company’s summer cooling promotion for Canadian customers, which runs until Aug 31, 2019.
