Leine Linde launches ADS Uptime condition monitoring system for encoders
May 17, 2019 by Manufacturing AUTOMATION
May 17, 2019 – Leine Linde has launched ADS Uptime, a new generation of condition monitoring system for encoders.
The Advanced Diagnostic System (ADS) retains the core features of its previous generation (ADS Online), and also introduces new features such as a wireless service check-up through Bluetooth and single cable support for diagnostic and control loop feedback information.
As with its previous generation, Leine Linde ADS Uptime continues to offer system monitoring features on parameters such as vibration and temperature. It also offers the ability to set various alarms and warning, as well as record and access information over the encoder’s lifetime.
The new features of ADS Uptime such as wireless encoder service check-up, through Bluetooth connectivity, will facilitate simplified maintenance routines in production lines and allow quick access to important factors affecting the encoder. Users can now perform service checkups on the go via the ADS Uptime app on their mobile device or tablet. With this type of effective maintenance check-up, maintenance technicians can detect unusual trends or recognize warning signs in an early stage and start practicing proactive maintenance.
ADS Uptime also allows for users to store recorded and access information over the encoder’s lifetime. Detailed data and parameters on things like scanning quality, time in motion, temperature, frequency and vibration are available. The vibration parameter specifically has been enhanced to allow measurement in both the radial and axial directions providing further comprehensive analysis. Values are stored in the encoder and easily accessible in a variety of ways.
Leine Linde is exclusively distributed in North America by HEIDENHAIN.
