Cégep de Sherbrooke selects Genius Manufacturing ERP for software training

Nov. 26, 2014 – Cégep de Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, Que., announced today that it has selected Genius Manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for hands-on training in its mechanical engineering techniques (manufacturing option) program.

“The introduction of an ERP software for manufacturers in this course will allow the students to get acquainted with the use of advanced tools for pre-production, material resource planning, human resource management and evaluation of financial resources required for batch production,” said Luc Simoneau, a teacher at Cégep de Sherbrooke.

According to Genius Solutions, Cégep de Sherbrooke is now the fourth school in the province to integrate Genius Manufacturing ERP into its mechanical and industrial engineering curriculum.

“After working with Genius Manufacturing, these students will be invaluable to growing manufacturers, especially those looking for an enterprise resource planning software that is effective, simple to use, and affordable,” added Jean Magny, president of Genius Solutions.

Based in Quebec, Genius Solutions is a developer of ERP software for small to medium-size custom make-to-order (MTO) and engineer-to-order (ETO) manufacturers.
