Pilz promotes Andreas Sobotta to key leadership position in the Americas

Pilz Automation Safety Canada has announced that their long-term chief executive officer and general manager, Andreas Sobotta, is taking on the role of vice-president of its North and South American operations, effective immediately.

In this position, Sobotta will continue to work from the company’s Canadian office in Mississauga and visit all other subsidiaries in North and South America.

Pilz shared in a press statement that the company will take its time to find a successor for the leading position in Canada. It plans to have a proper candidate in place by the fourth quarter of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.

“On one hand it is breaking my heart to leave this wonderful team, on the other hand, I look forward to this thrilling opportunity,” Sobotta says.
