Asghar Rizvi, Vice-President, Factory Automation and Motion Control, Siemens Digital Industries, Canada

Asghar Rizvi is vice-president of factory automation and motion control for Siemens Digital Industries in Canada. Asghar is responsible for the direction and leadership of these two business units, including sales, marketing and business development opportunities within the fields of automation, drives, motors and motion control. Asghar is also responsible for the leadership and development of the automotive, aerospace and food and beverage verticals.

Asghar is a professional engineer who began his career as an electro mechanical design engineer in 2001. He was promoted to engineering manager with Siemens Canada in 2005. In 2009, he assumed the role of director of control components and systems engineering, and subsequently, director of control products and motion control at Siemens Canada’s head office in Oakville, Ontario.

Mr. Rizvi holds a Masters of Management Sciences degree from the University of Waterloo.
