Keynote – From fears to cheers: A leader’s tale of resilience

Drawing from her own experiences as a leader, keynote speaker Anika Sawni will share valuable insights and examples about how she learned to stand up to fear and embrace vulnerability to help navigate the challenges of building the award-winning company Gruvi. She will touch on the factors that have helped her build resilience as a young woman in a leadership position.

Anika Sawni is the founder of Grüvi, a line of award-winning non-alcoholic social beverages launched in 2019, in collaboration with her brother Niki Sawni. Anika is known as a trailblazer in the category. She is a sought after thought leader, speaking at events across North America about entrepreneurship, women’s issues, and opportunities for minorities. Selected as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 at just 25 years old, Anika is a founding member of ANBA (Adult Non-Alcoholic Beverage Association) and she was recently featured in the January 2023 issue of Macleans Magazine. In June, 2023, Anika was named as a finalist for the coveted EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Anika prioritizes the creation of a female-led team with community goodwill initiatives as a major driver, rolling up into an Impact Report shared on a regular basis. She believes that growth and sustainability co-exist, and the team is transparent with their community about impact initiatives, community volunteerism and goodwill efforts.
