Mitutoyo releases one-click Quick Image 2-D vision measuring systems

Jan. 26, 2015 – Mitutoyo has added two new systems with advanced one-click measuring functionality to its Quick Image series 2-D vision measuring system.

This function enables automatic detection of a workpiece position and inclination and batch measurement of multiple parts with the same shape, up to a maximum of 1,000 workpieces at one setting. As well, the telecentric lens delivers a wide field of view and depth of focus, says the company, which enables easy measurements on workpieces with multiple heights. Measurement results are displayed in real time directly on the video image, which help improve measurement accuracy, notes Mitutoyo. The series comes complete with built-in LED lighting and a 3-megapixel colour camera.
