Pilz debuts configurable control system PNOZmulti 2

Mar. 10, 2015 – The configurable control system PNOZmulti 2 from Pilz Automation Safety Canada can be used as a stand-alone or as a modular expandable alternative. Now there are two additional communication modules available for connection: Ethernet/IP and PROFINET. The user can configure the virtual I/O in the usual manner in the software tool, PNOZmulti Configurator. Instead of wiring, the user can configure the safety circuit on a PC. As an open, configurable control system, PNOZmulti 2 can be used in multiple industries. The base unit promises to consume up to 80 per cent less energy than comparable products.
