Beckhoff Automation’s new CP77xx Series Panel PCs, featuring 1.1- or 1.6-GHz Intel Atom processors, are ideal for mid-range control platforms, or for use as HMI units for machine builders and plant engineering applications, according to the company. The CP77xx has a very low housing depth – between 1.1 and 1.8 inches – and is integrated into a slim format control panel housing, which can be equipped with a 6.5-, 12-, 15- or 19-inch display screen. The company calls this a mid-range automation and display device with high computing power and low power consumption. The CP77xx is equipped with a compact flash card, which is accessible under a cover in the back of the panel. The panel PC comes with two RJ 45 Ethernet connections and an RS232 interface in the rear of the panel as standard. A two-port USB interface is available as an option.
