Doug LoFranco named president AIS Technologies Group

Mar. 7, 2018 – Doug LoFranco has been named the president and CEO of the AIS Technologies Group, which comprises Radix Inc. and the Active Industrial Solutions companies: Automation, Gauge & Fixture, and Specialty Machining divisions.

Most recently serving as president of M&R Automation Canada, LoFranco’s executive management experience in the industrial automation space includes VP and general manager of ABB Robotics Canada, and VP and general manager of Wheelabrator Group Canada.

Active Industrial Solutions designs, manufactures and services complex plastic injection mold systems, custom automation and secondary processing equipment, gauges and fixtures and specialty machined components with a history of value-added solutions for a variety of vertical sectors. In 2016, Active Industrial Solutions acquired Radix Inc., a provider of automation solutions, combining machine vision solutions, advanced robotics and controls, and complex automation middleware layered over assembly automation. Both are privately held companies headquartered in Tecumseh, Ont., with operations in Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, Tennessee and India.
