Jan. 17, 2015 – Siemens Simotion motion control system version 4.4 promises to offer users many new functions that make the engineering of motion control projects even easier and more efficient.
According to the company, Simotion applications can be quickly, easily and efficiently engineered, configured and commissioned through the Siemens TIA Portal. Within the portal, various motion control functionalities can be used quickly through the innovative graphical user interface, says Siemens, adding that users will benefit from a full graphical configuration of hardware and networks. All parameters can be selected and modified by the click of a mouse. Additional automation components, such as the HMI or Sinamics drives, can be connected to Simotion.
