Jan. 5, 2016 – Tamron USA announced the restructure of its organization for “greater flexibility and positioning” in today’s business climate and to “capitalize on the strengths of its top management resources to better serve its distribution channels.”
“We at Tamron USA feel very confident that this restructure prepares us for the difficult road ahead,” said Gregg Maniaci, president and CEO. “We have a new team of talented, skilled people with tremendous abilities and experience that can lead the way. Our internal departments are now aligned to operate more efficiently, and our field staff has never been stronger.”
The company’s restructure includes the promotion of Pat Simonetti to director of operations, overseeing order, distribution and service; the promotion of Daniel Davies to director of sales where he will oversee sales for the photo imaging and industrial optics divisions; and the appointment of Stacie Errera as vice-president of marketing and communications.
Rounding out the new management team are Katsuyuki Miyagishi, promoted to business development and planning manager, Photographic Business Unit; and Rei Yamaguchi, promoted to business development and planning manager, Industrial Optics Business Unit.
The restructure follows the December announcement of the promotion of Gregg Maniaci to president and CEO and Hidekazu Suzuki as senior vice president.
