Mar. 5, 2018 – 42Q’s new Rapid IIoT Cloud Solution connects production equipment such as PLCs, SCADA servers, IIoT devices, smart sensors and more, providing shop-floor connectivity, real-time storage of factory data, statistical process control, and end-user analytics and reporting to help simplify digital factory transformation and implementation of the IIoT, says the company.
According to a 2016 study published by Genpact Research Institute, 82 per cent of manufacturing executives think a critical part of their future success will be the successful adoption of IIoT technology and practices; however, that same study shows that less than 25 per cent have plans for adoption and deployment of IIoT projects. Stumbling blocks include long deployment times and demonstrating the return on investment from IIoT. 42Q’s Rapid IIoT solution aims to overcome both of these problems, saying customers can now connect, collect and analyze large amounts of factory data without investing significant amounts of capital for either hardware or software.
