Pneumatically-assisted torque arm

August 14, 2008
By Manufacturing AUTOMATION

ASG, a division of Jergens Inc., has announced a new lighter-duty torque arm for assembly screwdrivers. The arm improves production efficiencies and product quality by reducing operator fatigue and by limiting operator influence on the assembly process. The parallel arm design keeps the tool perpendicular to the work surface. The arm also helps absorb torque to reduce potential for operator injury to arm, wrist or hand. Pneumatic or electric inline drivers can be used with the arm. (Electric tools require an adapter.)
