Leaders and employees of every level from all types of ethnic backgrounds and with diverse gender identifications will find sessions of interest as we explore the importance of breaking barriers, advancing women into positions of their choice and #InspireInclusion.

The half-day virtual event, starting at 1 pm ET, will explore strategies to help women power their journey in Canada’s manufacturing industry.

Keynote speaker Anika Sawni, founder and chief brand officer of Grüvi, will share examples of how she learned to stand up to fear and embrace vulnerability to help navigate the challenges of building an award-winning non-alcoholic beverage brand.

The first panel discussion of the day will be on “Inspiring Inclusion.” Panelists Hang Tran, innovation technical product manager, ATS Corporation; Sarab Hans, president, Hans Dairy; and Anne-Marie Pham, CEO, Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, will delve into strategies and effective workplace policies such as mentorship programs, leadership development initiatives and how to create a supportive ecosystem.

After the workshop, Mary Fuke, program manager at CWB Welding Foundation, will explore the importance of learning new skills, strengthening existing ones and leaning on your community when times get tough.

Finally, the “Amplifying voices and empowering communication” panel discussion will focus on the pivotal concepts of allyship and advocacy, shed light on the ways in which women can proactively champion their own voices and cultivate strong alliances to foster career advancement.
